March 2015—
It’s been a long two years, especially last year’s winter in Atlanta, and now in 2015. Sitwell’s quote still prevails. Now with the arrival of Spring 2015, I am beginning a new project, a photo essay about my brother Scott David Mitchell Giguiere. This photo essay will document how I found out about my father’s past that included a marriage and a son (that I knew nothing about until the day before I saw my father alive) and about Woodland, California. My father and Scott were born and raised in this small farming community in the Central Valley of California, the most dynamic agricultural region in the world. It is their story and mine as well.
